Description
The kollar has a buttonhole on the left side of the neck for the e-tube to pass through to the outside. The hole is about an inch wide and accommodates most tubes including those with Y-ports. A Velcro® closure strap folds over the end of the tube to secure the loose end when not in use. The kollar secures using Velcro® under the neck, allowing a custom fit. There is a small loop of fabric at the bottom for hanging your pet’s ID tags/bell which may also help to weight the kollar and keep it in the correct position.
Kollars are made with a double layer of sponge/polyfill with a covering of printed cotton or cotton/poly fabric on the outside, and flannel material on the back side next to the neck. Kollars are lined with a white cotton/poly fabric.
If you have a very long tube (more than 8-9 inches from the neck opening) you may wish to get a Double Velcro® kollar which has a second Velcro® strip to help secure the additional length of tube. Another option is to shorten your tube using our adapter.
How to use
1. Remove all bandaging and/or collars.
2. Clean wound if needed, then slide a clean protector pad over the end of the tube until it is flush with the skin
3. Slide the Kanine Kollar on over the pad and fasten
4. Remove kollar every 2-3 days to inspect stoma
5. Wash kollar weekly or as desired. Machine wash and air dry only.
Sizes
You must measure your animal’s neck and not guess.
Chances are your pet will already have some bandages on the neck; you need to try to measure UNDER the bandages, or you can measure just in front (the ear side, not the tail side) of where the bandages start.
To measure your pet, wrap a tape measure or string firmly but not tightly around his neck.
The cat’s neck size does not vary appreciably with modest weight gain (similar to a human wrist measurement), so you do not need to “allow for” regaining weight.
Note that tubes are standardly placed on the left side of the neck. If your vet has placed your pet’s tube on the right side, contact us for a custom device.
If your pet’s e-tube is longer than 8-9 inches you may wish to order a Double Velcro® Kollar. Another option is to shorten your tube, using our adapters.
If your pet’s neck measures less than 4” or more than 24” please contact us to discuss a custom device.

Styles
The classic kollar has a single strip of Velcro® to secure most tubes.
If you have an extra-long tube (more than 8″ from where it enters the body) you may wish to purchase the Double Velcro® kollar, which has a second strip of Velcro® to help secure the extra length of tube. This kollar is available in a limited number of colors which vary with our available fabrics.
