Description
This adapter “plugs” right into the flared end of a red rubber feeding tube to allow you to “cap” the end of the tube and/or utilize luer-tip syringes for feeding.
To use as a plug: The adapter is conical and graduated from larger down to smaller diameter – like an upside-down Christmas tree. Simply push it into the flared end of the red tube to keep it sealed and protected.
To feed your pet using this adapter:
- Remove the entire adapter from the flared opening of the tube, then insert a CATHETER (large-ended) syringe directly into the tube to feed.
- OR leave the adapter in place, unscrew the cap from the adapter, and insert either a luer or luer-lock syringe into the end to feed. (A catheter syringe will not fit into the adapter itself.)
This adapter fits ONLY red rubber tubes with the flared (funnel-shaped) end. It will NOT work with clear tubes.
